Easing the Burden on Transplant Families
Throughout the transplant process, families face heavy logistical and financial burdens on top of the emotional turmoil of waiting for and recovering from a transplant. The Clyde F. Barker Transplant House at Penn will offer a supportive and convenient setting for transplant families at a nominal cost. Located blocks from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, the Transplant House will provide a host of accommodations, such as furnished private bedrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities, an educational center and a telephone liaison to the transplant floor of the hospital.
